Medical and Behavior Health Team

Dr. David Dreitlein, MD, FACEP

Cheif Medical Officer

Dr. Dreitlein attended the University of Colorado Boulder for his undergraduate education then medical school at CU Health Sciences Center. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Brown University where he served as Chief Resident. After working in hospital settings as an emergency physician for over 20 years, where he held many leadership roles including emergency department director and Chief of Staff, he transitioned to community medicine in 2020. Throughout his career he has been appointed to numerous committees for the State of Colorado and has been involved in the creation of several joint projects between regional hospitals. In the past, Dr. Dreitlein has worked as a physician in the Everest Region of Nepal as well as a flight physician. He has been active in medical roles for local National Parks, ski areas and other outdoor organizations. He spends his free time with his wife, a local veterinarian, and his two kids, hiking, skiing, backpacking and in general enjoying all the outdoor activities Western Colorado has to offer.

Greta Hoffman, PA-C

Certified Physician Assistant

Greta is originally from Montana and moved to Montrose after completing her training at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon in 2020. Before going to PA school, she studied to become an ecologist but found her niche in healthcare while working as a CNA and emergency department technician. When not in the clinic, Greta can be found somewhere in the mountains with her husband and young bird dog. Greta is passionate about harm reduction and helping patients feel self-empowered when receiving medical care.

Shaun O'Malley, PA-C

Certified Physician Assistant

Shaun recently moved to Montrose after graduating from Colorado Mesa University’s Physician Assistant program. He originally started his journey in medicine working in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), with a total of 5 years’ experience working as both an EMT-B and Paramedic. He really enjoyed emergency medicine but wanted a longer established role with his patients, which is why he pursued family medicine. Shaun joined PIC Place in October 2023. He really enjoys getting to know his patients and finding ways to improve their general wellness. On his days off, he enjoys hiking, fishing, camping, and visiting new places. He feels very fortunate to live in Montrose as the area has so much to offer people who enjoy the outdoors. 

Nikki Steele, FNP-C

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

“My favorite things about PIC is taking care of you with a whole-person approach”

Nikki graduated from the Nurse Practitioner program at Bradley University in 2020 and went straight into family practice at the PIC Place and have been here ever since. Before this she worked as an RN for 7 years in a multitude of specialties, with a favorite being mother/baby and antepartum care. Nikki has two beautiful children and enjoys everything Montrose has to offer. She loves hiking, skiing, playing volleyball, reading books and spending time with her children riding bikes or exploring the mountains.

Elise Rediger, LPC, LAC, ADS

Behavioral Health Director

Elise earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver and her Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2017 and a Licensed Addiction Counselor since 2018. Her experience has been in community mental health, substance use disorder treatment and integrated primary care. She is certified as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist. Elise joined MarillacHealth in November 2023. She strives to engage patients to act as the primary leader in their own care and well-being through prioritizing prevention, wellness, and education.

Victoria Baumann, LPC

Behavioral Health Provider (Licensed Professional Cousnselor & Certified addictions specalist)

Victoria graduated in 2015 with her master’s degree in counseling from Adams State University. She began as a school counselor in 2015 and transitioned to Early Childhood Specialist in 2018. Victoria joined PIC Place in September 2020 as a behavioral health provider.

Victoria works with people of all ages and specializes in addiction, as well as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life changes/transitions, and trauma. Victoria believes that patients receive the best care in an integrated environment. She was born and raised in Colorado and enjoys recreating outside, including hiking, biking, swimming, paddleboarding, rafting and cross-country skiing.

Naomi McCrea, LCSW

Behavioral Health Provider (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)

Naomi was born and raised in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. Naomi has resided on the Western Slope just under 10 years. Naomi attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she obtained her Masters in Social Work. She also attended Virginia Tech where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Sociology and her Bachelor of Science in Human Development. She is passionate about social justice. Naomi has been in the social work field for more than 12 years. Naomi has worked in a variety of settings, including home-based behavioral health, school-based behavioral health, community mental health, long term care and integrated care settings. She has extensive experience in both clinical and medical social work. Naomi loves spending time with family and friends, yoga, hiking, and cross country skiing. 

Dental Team

Tom Lavery, DDS

Chief Dental Officer

Dr. Lavery began his employment with Marillac as a full-time dentist in 2005 and was promoted to the position of Dental Director in February, 2007. Dr. Lavery received his dental degree from Creighton University and completed his residency program at Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming. He possesses 37 years of private and public health dentistry.

Kate Beauchamp, DDS

Dentist

Dr. Beauchamp started with MarillacHealth in July 2024. Dr. Beauchamp is originally from Michigan. She received her dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Central Michigan University. She pursued dentistry because of her passion for public health and preventative oral health. Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and skiing, or cozying up with her cat, Willow, and a good book. 

Jack Gothier, DDS

Dentist

Dr. Gothier joined MarillacHealth in July 2024. Dr. Gothier is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with a degree in Food Science from Ohio State University followed by dental school at Ohio State. His passion for dentistry stems from food and believes everyone should have an opportunity to have a healthy oral cavity to enjoy delicious food. Outside of dentistry, he loves most things outdoors including snowboarding, rock climbing, and fishing which are all reasons he moved to beautiful Western Slope Colorado.

Ashley Lindsey, RDH

Hygienist

“I enjoy every aspect of working at PIC”

Ashley is native to Western Colorado, growing up in the small town of Hotchkiss. Ashley graduated high school in 2007 with an Associate of Arts Degree from CNCC in Rangely. She completed a few years towards an accounting degree between CMU and University of Phoenix. Accounting wasn’t a dream career, and in 2009 she moved to Rangely with her then fiancé’ and discovered that her true passion and calling was in healthcare. Ashley worked full time at Rangely District Hospital as a certified nursing assistant while also attending CNCC again to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. She graduated in 2012 and has since worked as a Dental Hygienist and found true passion in community health. Ashley is married and has two boys that are very active in sports and school activities, but also loves to be outdoors and in the mountains during any and all free time hunting and camping. 

Shawna Lynn, RDH, BSDH

Hygienist

Although not born in Colorado, Shawna considers herself a Colorado native as she has lived in the state since she was a child. In 1994, she attended Colorado Northwestern Community College where she received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Shawna’s love of learning encouraged her to return to school obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2013. Passing on helpful information to her patients and educating them is her passion. Shawna worked in private practice for 28 years prior to joining the Marillac team. She enjoys road biking, tennis and spending time with her family.

Ashton Schlauger, RDH

Hygienist

Ashton was born in Southwestern Oklahoma but was proudly raised here on the Western Slope of Colorado. She attended Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) and graduated with her Associates of Dental Hygiene in 2021. She is passionate about educating her patients about their oral health and providing a space where patients feel comfortable and cared for. During her free time, Ashton loves spending time with her wonderful husband, tending to the family cattle ranch, riding horses, and spending time with their dogs Lyla, Trix and Goose.
